Day 11: Weeding

I'm pretty sure if you live in San Francisco, you've seen this fine nuisance.

This weed is called Oxalis and comes up in my garden every.single.winter.
You can weed all you want, but it's pointless because you need to get down to the root. The root produces multiple seeds which lay dormant for 7 years. So unless you get all of those seed out of the dirt, the quest to rid your garden of this weed is futile.

Despite knowing all of this gardening trivia, I still went ahead and attempted to weed this afternoon. It's a little less cluttered outside. Haha! I also cut some overgrown lavender so my green bin is 50% full.

Seriously, I'll need a vacation from all this decluttering I'm doing. I'm only on Day 11!
